The year 2020 has been the craziest year I’ve ever experienced as a trader, investor, entrepreneur, and artist. It’s truly been one wild roller coaster and if you don’t know how to ride it you’re going to most likely lose money in the markets. Today is September 21, 2020 and we are doing an analysis of the forex markets and starting with our smart money analysis using the Commitment of Traders (COT) Report and COTBase.com to visualize the data. This weeks COT report shows some of the same positions as last week; however, we do see that Commercial traders have reduced their Net Short in the Euro and also the Swiss Franc. We also still see that the Commercial traders are still very Net Long in the US Dollar as well. These extremes show us that the markets are going to soon move in the directions of the extremes.

When the Commercial traders begin reducing their Net Short on the Euro and Swiss Franc we will see prices for the Euro and Swiss Franc decrease, and likewise when the Commercial traders start reducing their Net Long on the US Dollar we will see that the US Dollar will rise in price. Now this is not a 100% sure thing where it happens every single time because there have been instances where Commercial traders are wrong in the market… however, they are mostly right in the markets and so following the smart money and the ones who understand the markets the best is a smart decision for you to make. Of course though the COT report is not a timing tool as it can be weeks, months or even years before the extreme Commercial position is reduced and the markets move.

With that being said we need to be smart to identity technical analysis trade levels as well so that we can find opportunities to trade in the markets while our COT report extremes formulate and create a big opportunity for us to make money. Today our live audience decided they wanted to evaluate the EURUSD pair as well as Gold and Silver. We started our technical analysis today with looking at each of the larger timeframes for the EURUSD and then going to the smaller timeframes to see if we have any trade opportunities. We identified a possible trade this week with the EURUSD and identified the levels and also the targets of how we are looking at trading that market.
